Aspire Channel Swim 2014 · 1 December 2014 ·

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

My name is Mason and I'm 8 years old.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. Please sponsor me.

Over the next 12 weeks I’ll be swimming 22 miles (The English Channel) in my local pool. I will need to swim around 20 lengths a day for the whole 12 weeks, to raise money for people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury. I will be doing this everyday after school, during my swimming lessons on a Saturday and Sunday mornings. The Waterside pool are letting me do this for free. Thank you Paul.

Every eight hours someone is paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury. It can happen to anyone at any time, and there is currently no cure. Every pound that I raise means that Aspire can provide practical help to a spinal injured person, allowing them to live a more independent life, so please donate as much as you can and help make a difference.
