About my charity : Cardiac Risk in the Young Cardiac Risk in the Young
Hundreds of young people die unexpectedly of heart defects every year. CRY works to raise awareness of Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS) and campaigns for proactive screening of young people. It offers help and support to those who have suffered a loss, provides medical information, carries out Mobile Cardiac Screening and ECG Testing Programmes within local communities and contributes to medical research. My personal message:

As some, or all visiting may know, my brother Mat died of an undiagnosed heart condition on 1st February 2008.

I am doing a sponsored walk covering the 8 famous bridges in London to raise money for a charity that invests money into research into sudden infant deaths caused by undiagnosed heart conditions.

The charity is also trying to raise awareness of this condition as 8 young, fit and healthy people die each week due to, undiagnosed heart conditions.
