Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Hello Everybody,

James and I are starting a bike ride on the 23rd of July that will take us from Lands End to John O’Groats.  This is a 1000 Mile ride that runs from the bottom of England to the tip of Scotland.  We plan to ride around 70 Miles each day so the total ride should take us 2 weeks.

We have chosen to use the ride to fundraise for the Parkinson’s Disease Society.  Parkinson’s Disease is a progressive neurological condition causing severe physical symptoms such as a resting tremor, muscular rigidity and a difficulty in initiating voluntary movements.

We have chosen to support this cause because Matt’s Girlfriend’s Dad, Colin, is a Parkinson’s Disease sufferer and also both of us have just finished degrees in Physiology where we have learnt about Parkinson’s Disease and other similar conditions.

We have witnessed the difficulties that the condition causes for the sufferers and their families and have decided that we would like to see if we can raise a bit of money to help.

So please dig deep into your pockets and donate anything that you can afford.  We would be very very grateful!!

Matt and James
