After a term of parties and taking it easy Stuart and myself decided to do something for charity. So between Thursday 28th and Sunday 31st January we ran 104.8 miles from Worcester back to Leahurst, finishing at the Philip Leverhulme Equine Hospital. This was the equivalent of 4 marathons in 4 days.

We ran to raise money for the Society for the Protecton of Animals Abroad (SPANA).  It was a tough 4 days, certainly no easier than we had expected but thanks to the huge amount of help from some of our friends and family, we were able to complete the run.

We have now recovered, and have raised our goal to £2500, a sum which would help lots of families throughout the developing world.

We would like to thank our friends that supported us along the way as without them this would not have been possible. We would also like to thank The Philip Leverhulme Equine Hospital, CEVA Animal Health, Animalcare and Hill's for their kind support.

PLEASE do not feel that you have to make a large donation if you can't spare it, the minimum is £2. There have been some very generous donations, for which we are very grateful, but don't be put off donating because you think most people have given more than you can afford!

SPANA is a UK charity that provide veterinary care to working animal in some of the poorest countries in the world. Some people think of them as an animal charity that helps people and some think of them as a people charity that helps animals - they are happy either way!
They believe that a healthy working animal can ensure a family can make a living.

They not only provide free veterinary care to over 400,000 animals every year, they also educate owners and children how to respect and care for their animals.

If you would like to sponsor us you can do so here. Alternatively lists will be up in both Liverpool and leahurst along with collection boxes.
