Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the 2010 London Marathon, which I will be running on the very fast approaching Sunday 25 April.

Last year my brother-in-law Dave and I ran the London Marathon in memory of my dad, Peter Brook. We ran in support of Mind, the Mental Health Charity and thanks to many of you we raised an incredible amount for which we – and Mind – are extremely grateful.

I’m afraid I’m at it once more... This year I am again running for Mind, which is the leading mental health charity working to create a better life for everyone with experience of mental distress, either personally or among family members and friends.

In addition to supporting Mind last year, we also used the Marathon as a launch event for a campaign designed to raise awareness of mental health issues in the workplace. A lot has happened since then and our website www.triangulate.org.uk shows some of what we have been up to and what we aim to achieve. Whilst mental illness remains a difficult subject to address for people in many workplaces and in society in general, it can affect anyone in the same way any illness or injury. Any donation you can give will help support the incredibly important work that Mind carries out on a daily basis across the UK and we hope initiatives like Triangulate will help to improve the approach to mental health in our workplaces.

For the many of you that have sponsored me to run the last two London Marathons, I intend the 2010 race to be my last for a while, so I won't be asking for any more of your money after this – I promise!

Thank you very much for your time - if you are planning to support on the day, I will look something like the guy on the right above!

All the best,

Matt
