BUPA Great North Run 2009 · 20 September 2009 ·

Our mission at Terrence Higgins Trust is to end new cases of HIV in the UK by 2030; to empower and support people living with HIV to lead healthy lives; and to amplify the voices of those affected by HIV to eradicate stigma and discrimination.

Story

I know, I know.

The greying hair, the radio show, the ability to raise money through long distance running.  You're not the first to think to yourself, 'Is Matt Brown the new Jimmy Saville?'.  Well, in one sense yes but in many, many other senses, no.

I am going to run for about two hours solely to raise money for theTerrence Higgins Trust (THT), which is the leading HIV & AIDS charity in the UK and the largest in Europe. It was one of the first charities to be set up in response to the HIV epidemic and has been at the forefront of the fight against HIV & AIDS ever since.

All you have to do is pledge a little of your money and I will stop pestering you for a while.

So, whether you're a friend, family member, fence, lover of Heart Breakfast, devotee of TV's Naughtiest Blunders, intrigued new follower of frazzleddaddy.blogspot.com or just drunk after a night out and would rather randomly donate some cash than watch a rerun of Jeremy Kyle then I thank you with all my heart.

I love you all.

Deeply.
