Thanks everyone. Completed the race in 1:29:24 which I'm happy with :)

Hi there,

Thanks for visiting my page.  My original plan was to lose enough weight and gain enough fitness to run in the Leeds 10K on 4th July and finish in less than one hour.

I started off in January 2008 at a whopping 24stones in weight.  I'm now at around 19st 12lb (after getting down to 19st 3lb and gaining a little since).

Over the last few weeks I've had a few health problems including a bout of flu and I have to be realistic with myself that I am not going to be able to run in the race.  I am however going to walk it.

On the 4th of July I will be walking in the Leeds 10K race.  I won't win it but I will finish it.

I'm taking part along with my friend, Marcel Booth.  Together we plan to get to the finish line, in one piece.

I'm raising money for the Make-a-wish foundation.  Whilst visiting Walt Disney World recently I had the opportunity to see their brilliant work first hand with terminally unwell children having their dreams come true and meeting Disney princesses.  I want to personally make a difference to the life of at least one family and my target of £1000 will ensure that a unwell child gets to visit Disneyland Paris with their family and enjoy a few days of happiness.

Your money goes straight to the charity through this site and its the easiest way to donate - if you'd rather donate in person, I have a sponsorship form for Make-a-wish.

Thank you very much for your donations.
