Story
As most of you know,
I've been dedicated to Team Kenya for over a year now and the steps we have made are turning to leaps. I will be going out again on the 10th June and staying for 9 weeks. Again, it's all funded by myself, so the money raised goes directly to the projects that i choose.
Imagine as a child growing up, you could play but had no toys, you would invent things but had no real grasp on what things outside of your house actually were? Imagine not being able to go to school and play with other children and imagine not knowing what an animal like a zebra or an elephant looks like because you're confined to the place you call home.
Next time ur on ur mobile and you search for anything, try to imagine how some children will never get that opportunity if it wasn't for people like me and like you that can give a little or lend a life line.
I might not be able to give the internet, but i remember with books how i could be that person in the story, i could be that hero, or i could see those animals that exist in my country.
So i ask you, baring in mind how easy we can spend £5 on our lunch or £10 for a few drinks, could you do without for a week?
the cost of decent story books in the UK are similar to that of Kenya.
books are heavy and take up far more space than clothes and other necessaties i take to Kenya. However, books can be bought whilst i'm there so I'm appealing to you to dip your hand in your pocket and give what you can. every £ helps and you know i will spend it wisely.
