Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Update: Training is going well although hard. I have had a scare with my knee having to have arthroscopy on my right knee, which was not successful, and now needing further surgery. My surgeon has said I can continue with the ride and he will operate after the ride as well as sponsoring me for £1 a mile! I need a bit more to hit my target so every little bit you can donate will help me get closer to my target. The full details of the ride are still shown below.
Starting on the 5th September, I will be following the route of Linvoy Primus's football career by bike. Starting at Charlton FC and cycling to Barnet FC, then on to Reading FC and then finishing at Portsmouth FC, 2008 FA Cup Winners. The aim of the ride is to raise funds for Faith & Football to aid them in their work in this country and abroad. Your support will help with underachieving readers, business enterprise, and other youth communtiy & educational programmes in the UK, aids orphans in Africa, street kids in Mexico and disabled oprhans in India! As some of you may be aware, in February 2007 I had surgery on my spine to help and ease a chronic condition that limited physical activity. The operation has been a great success so in order to demonstrate my gratitude at having been given a new lease of life, I will be training for, and taking part in this ride which is approximately 160 miles over three days. Please help reach my target, or exceed it, in order to assist Faith & Football with the fantastic work they are doing. Many thanks in anticipation of your extreme generosity. Matt
