A long walk in the same direction · 29 March 2019 ·

Urban Saints (known as Crusaders from 1906 to 2006) is a disciple-making movement which gathers, loves, disciples and launches young people of all backgrounds, that they might live like Jesus and be part of God's church; actively seeking lives that lead, serve, evangelise and change the world.

Story

29 March looks certain to be an exciting and significant day for our country. To give myself a break from watching the news channels from behind the sofa, I've decided to *do some good* 😃! So, I shall be participating in fundraiser for a FANTASTIC charity. Incredible scenes.

Urban Saints is a Christian youth charity based in my (adopted) home town of Luton (❤️). It provides support and resources for youth groups around the UK, as well as a programme of camps and overseas trips. I've been involved for a few years, and was on the admin staff during my gap year.

Several of us will be doing some or all of this long walk (about 45km, longer than a marathon 😮) to represent our priorities for the coming years. We're committed to the young people we serve, and building a movement on relationships is slow but so worthwhile. I really hope you'll support me, either because of the cause or, if you're less into Christian youthwork (!) to encourage me on this potentially painful excursion.

Do head over to the Urban Saints website (www.urbansaints.org) or contact me if you want to find out more.
