Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 26 June myself and other brave (possibly stupid!!) members of Sefton Velo Cycling Club will mount our bikes and ride the Coast to Coast, from Scarborough to Liverpool, in one day (what have I signed up to?? If I wasn't from Yorkshire and already paid for my hotel room I would have second thoughts!!).  The route will take us across 160 miles and over 9000ft of climbing. To put this into perspective this is almost as tough has one of the hardest stages of the 2015 Tour de France (the participants being professional cyclist and some of the fittest atheletes in the world. I don't imagine they call at the cafe for a bacon butty during their weekend ride).

Why are we putting ourselves through this physically and mentally challenging ordeal? Its simple, to raise as much money as possible for an absolutely amazing cause, Zoe's place.

Zoe's Place is the only baby specific hospice in the UK to provide palliative, respite and end of life care completely free of charge and ongoing support to families.

The hospices provides wonderful home from home environments for babies and infants from birth to five years old that have life limiting of life threatening conditions.

Zoe's Place relies purely on charity donations to keep running please show your support by sponsoring us in our challenge and help keep the wonderful work of Zoe's place going.

Every penny donated will go to Zoe's Place. We have self funded this challenge and will be assisted by some generous people both in terms of their time and resources.

This is by far the hardest challenge I have ever done so please give generously and in anticipation I thank you for all you support.
