Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I have decided to run the New York marathon and as anyone that knows me will testify, i most definately am not a natural distance runner! However i've always greatly admired people who've run a marathon and figured that i should bite the bullet and give it a go and in doing so raise a shed-load of cash for Cancer Research UK- a very worthwhile charity and one that has personal significance to me.
I've been training hard (most of the time!) , have been tee-total for a little over 4 months now (going to smash myself to bits after this bloody run!) and have even managed to drop a couple of dress sizes to make running 26 miles a bit easier. Also running in the big apple with me are Kev Wimperis and Matt+Becs Leach who frankly are to blame for this whole running nonsense as it was just a throw-away comment by me in the pub that marathons were a top idea. They weren't supposed to take it seriously. . . If you feel inclined and flush , all these guys have web pages set up on this site so feel free to go donation crazy.
