BUPA Great South Run 2008 · 26 October 2008 ·

The Rocky Appeal is raising £2.4 million to ensure the future of innovative robotic keyhole surgery at QA Hospital. The Da Vinci robot is an incredibly precise way of carrying out keyhole surgery to better treat vulnerable areas of the body, reduce recovery times and cause minimum damage.

Story

Thanks for visiting my charity page. This year I shall be attempting to complete the Great South Run and as such I felt I should also try and help a charitable organisation while I'm about it.

My Chosen Charity is the Rocky Appeal, which is currently collecting money a Keyhole operating theatre. The rocky appeal have previously help provide an MRI machine and a kidney dialysis machine for the Portsmouth hospital trust.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Portsmouth Hospitals Nhs Trust General Charitable Fund gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Any donations would be greatfully recieved as would any encouragement, cheers.
