Story
HI everyone.
My daughter Ines was born with several holes in her heart. Aged six months she had them fixed in an operation at the Evelina Children's Hospital. We owe them a huge debt: not just for the great skill of the surgeon, who modestly said that the operation was their 'bread-and-butter', but the fantastic nurses and other staff who looked after Ines. It is a great place: really well designed so you don't feel like you're in a hospital at all, which contributes to better healing, and helps the family and friends who visit feel more relaxed.
I'm running 'Run to the Beat', a half marathon in Greenwich to raise some money to support the Evelina to help more children.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Evelina Children's Hospital Appeal gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
