On 13 September 2008, Matthew, Richard and a number of friends (in teams of two) are proposing to run a half marathon over the Black Mountains in Wales, near Hay-on-Wye, followed by a canoe race down the River Wye, as part of the Hayathlon.

This foolish escapade is to raise money for Farmers Overseas Action Group, who do valuable charitable work in Uganda.

All we can say is that it is going to be painful...if you could put your hands in your pockets, that would be great!!
