This has got to be worth sponsoring me for, i will be wearing a fantastic Sari and rowing a dragon boat down the Thames.  Those of you who know my fitness level will find this particularly amusing.

All of the money raised will go towards supporting Jeevika Trust’s water projects.  India is home to 50% of the 2 million children across the world that die from diarrhoea every year – many of these will die because they don’t have access to clean and safe drinking water.  Every day rural Indian women may typically walk up to 7 miles, some even more, to collect water for their family.  Jeevika’s water projects provide access to clean, safe and reliable water.  The number of hours spent walking by women collecting women is dramatically reduced, particularly during hot dry months, freeing them up to take part in activities that will earn extra income for their families.  For full details about Jeevika’s water projects please visit http://www.jeevika.org.uk.

I have seen first hand how much this money is needed so please give as much as you can; if not for the people who need life saving clean water in some of the poorest areas in the world, then for the sight of me in a sari!
