Story

The Travelport Summer Interns are working to fundraise for Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver! Our goal is to raise $5,000. Thank you for your help! Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit housing organization with global reach founded in 1976 based on the concept of "partnership housing". They work with local communities in all 50 states of the US as well as approximately 70 other countries. Their vision is for everyone in the world to have a decent place to live. In a home that encourages health and safety, families are able to flourish. Habitat creates stable, strong, and self-reliant partnerships with families in need of decent and affordable housing. These families help build their home alongside Habitat volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage once the home is done. The homes are built at no profit. By helping families to achieve affordable homeownership, Habitat frees families from the instability and stress weighing them down. Habitat encourages self-reliance, confidence, healthy child development and growth, and families being able to save for their future and invest in educational opportunities. Habitat has been able to help families with financial health, help parents to have confidence about meeting their family's needs, and improved grades for their children as shown by surveys of homeowners and their families all by helping them have a stable and affordable home. The interns involved are: Alexander Moss, Caylie Charlton, Charlie Mulroy, Chris King, Colton Klable, Jack Peterson, Jiayi Li, Kerry Gip, Matthew Mar, Maya Douglas, Nicholas Fulton, Paul Shi, Richard Patterson, Trent Hoople, Xavier Swehla, Yuying Zhong, and Zach Salcido.
