It helps to promote equal opportunities for people with Down syndrome and offer support to them and their families. It promotes public awareness of Down syndrome and encourages and helps local support groups. It provides information through conferences, workshops, newsletters and its website.

Hi

Just an update: I am really please to have completed the marathon in 3 hours and 19 minutes a PB.

Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me and it's not too late if you would like to make a donation.

This year I wanted to raise money for Down Syndrome Extra 21, a local charity run by volunteers providing families with support and information on down syndrome in the essex area.

This is a small charity so every penny raised really does make a difference.

Extra 21 are already helping to support my friend Lara and her family to develop the skills she needs. To find out more about what they do visit www.extra21.org.uk
