Great North Swim 2009 · 12 September 2009 ·

The Pied Piper Appeal raises money to make a difference to sick and disabled children in Gloucestershire by funding the Children's Centre at GRH, supporting SEND schools, sending children and their families on Wish Holidays and improving experiences with mental health facilities.

Story

Update:

Thanks to everybody for their sponsorship and support. In total I raised over £250.

I completed the Swim in a time of just over 55 mins.  I found the experience very enjoyable and plan to do it next year as well.

Open water swimming was a new experience for me and I would recommend everybody to try it. I look forward to people joining me next year.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I have decided to take part in the great North Swim this September.  It is a one mile open water mass participation swim in Lake Windermere. My Dad and my Sister will also be swimming.

I am asking for any sponsorship to go to the Pied Piper appeal which is a local charity which helps provide better care and facilities for sick children in Gloucestershire. They were responsible for the new Childrens Centre at Gloucester Hospital where my daughter, Isabel was given excellent care last year when she spent 8 days there with bronchiolitis.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Pied Piper Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
