Sorry for the late notice, but I'm as surprised as you are that I'm doing this event! 50 Miles on a bicycle? Me?

I know that many of you will have already sponsored me earlier this year for my running events, but the guys at The Message had someone drop out of this cycle race so I needed to step up to the challenge! Just so that I can get the sympathy really going and get you to dig deep into your bank accounts to sponsor me......

I only bought a bike last Wednesday after not riding a bicycle for 7 years! I've only ridden it once since then.... I'm on holiday at the moment so probably won't get any chance for training until less than a week before the event! And my bike isn't suited to road racing really... it's a hybrid! Oh and I'm on a night shift the night before the race and it starts at 10am! Doh! But the good news is that I don't have any idea what time I should do a 50 mile race on a bike!!

Come on that should get your sponsoring fingers going on this web page!! Don't think of my sufferring (have I laboured this point enough now??).... think about the great work The Message will do with your cash!
