Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK, with over 40,000 new cases diagnosed every year. Prostate Cancer UK do a wonderful job funding research, improvements in treatment, providing care and support and raising awareness.

I have signed up to a number of running and cycling events to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK including the big one, cycling from London to Amsterdam

  • 25 March  - London Landmarks Half Marathon
  • 8 April - Madrid Half Marathon
  • 1-2 June  - F2A London to Amsterdam (cycling)

The focus event is the Football to Amsterdam 2018 cycle ride - a Prostate Cancer UK organised ride with 400+ riders (including some ex-professional footballers) raising awareness as well as vital money for the charity to help fund the research and support services they provide.

We will be cycling 235km over 2 days from the Olympic velodrome in London's Queen Elizabeth park all the way to Amsterdam via an overnight ferry from Harwich to Hoek van Holland.

In the UK about 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer at some point in their lives and it is the most common cancer in men. Donations help fund ground breaking research and provide support for those suffering from Prostate Cancer.
