Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and thanks also to all of you who have sponsored me so far, it has been very motivating to me during my training and whilst I ran the 26.2 miles! If you haven't sponsored me yet there is still time to help me get to my target of £5000 - every amount helps.

I am sure we all know people who have suffered or lost family or friends from heart disease or a heart attack, in fact my Father-in-Law, Kim, would have been 75 years old a few days after I ran had he not suffered from heart problems and a fatal heart attack some 21 years ago now. Clearly the money raised is going to a great cause to continue the fight against heart disease through further research and educational campaigns.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The British Heart Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. So please why not sponsor me now!

If you want to know how the training went then check out the blog http://mattprosserinnewyork.blogspot.com/  for the record I finished in 18681 out of 42000 runners, running in a time of 4:10:32seconds not bad for a first attempt! I might try a marathon which is flat next time and has no bridges!!
