Story

Only a week late but as many of you know i did complete the Beachy Head Marathon and nearly 30 minutes faster than last year. I also broke the 5 hour mark which i was delighted with. It still ruined me for at least 3 days though. Thanks so much to all those who have supported me along the way both in kind and with cash. There is still time to add to the money donated. I will be up loading photos of me doing the race this week so watch this space. If this is your first visit then the details of why im doing this event are below. Thanks all.

As most of you know last year my Dad died suddenly after a short illness. This was a devestating blow to all of the family and his friends and so unexpected. It has left a huge void in our lives. After saying last October, after doing the Beachy Head Marathon that i would never set foot on that cliff top again, here i am fundraising this year for the British Liver Trust. My old man would be having a right giggle now as he was the first person i spoke to last year after my very slow effort and told him never again. I know times are tough and i would like to thank all of you in advance for your support. I did the Great North Run in September and this country never ceases to amaze me with its generostiy and giving nature.

My old man was an amazing Grandad and wonderfull Dad and Husband and we miss him dearly. Lets hope we can go a little way to helping the cause. Thanks all.
