Million Metre Row In the Month of May · 12 May 2005

We support the thousands of patients and families at Sheffield Children’s, from across the UK and beyond, by funding the life-changing and the joy-sparking. We make clinical care kinder, and bad days brighter. We bring play, laughter and comfort to places where they’re needed the most.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Please help in any way to assist me in my challenge in raising funds to purchace two rehabilitation chairs for the neurology department at the Sheffield Childrens Hospital.

The chairs are to assist in the rehabilitation of children recovering from meningitis or from road traffic accidents and other similar injuries.
As well as being a local to the South Yorkshire area the childrens hospital is one of 4 in England that specialises in caring for children.

I chose this challange due to its demand both physically and time constraints, and in total it took some 4 years to co-ordinate and get off the ground.
On the 31st May I completed the challenge in a time of 72hours:03min:51sec, burning of some 61000 calories. I've been supported throughout from many people and a big thanks to them all from me. All I need to do now is ask for your support in making my efforts all worth while and help me to achieve the £5000 target to purchace the two chairs for the hospital Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please dig deep for this worthy cause! Many thanks for your support Charles.
