Michael Sobell House is the hospice connected to Mount Vernon Hospital. Surrounded by rolling countryside, it provides a comfortable environment and palliative care for patients with life threatening diseases such as cancer. The hospice relies heavily on donations and charity events that it organises.
Mary spent quite a lot of time here and got on well with all the nurses, as well as the volunteers who run activity days for the patients. The staff did a great deal in assisting Mary in her stay at the hospice and also supported the family when they needed it.
Mary spent her final days in the Michael Sobell House, and it was one of her wishes that donations were made to their charity.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Michael Sobell House Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for your support.
