Sightsavers' vision is of a world where no one is blind from avoidable causes and where visually impaired people participate equally in society.

Story

Hello again my friend, (Jambo)

I made it , and have returned safe and well, a better person for the experience. What a wonderful adventure in one of this earth's finest national parks. Home of Kilimanjaro the world's highest free standing mountain,(5896M) standing majestic with its snow capped peak.   We spent 6 days camping  on the mountain as I huffed and puffed my way to the summit. The support and friendship offered to us by our climb team and porters was undoubtedly one of the main reasons I made it to the top.   It was a truly awesome experience, one which I will never again repeat.

Sightsavers International are concentrating their efforts in Tanzania this year  in the fight against river blindness and you, thanks to your donation, have helped restore sight with a simple operation. You also  helped old man McGinty to keep focused for the cause.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Sightsavers International will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support. (Asante Sana)*            *Swahili
