"...And when they were up - they were up,
And when they were down - they were down,
And when they were only half way up - it was cold and wet in the middle of the night and they were searching their minds for why they had ever thought the three peaks challenge was a good idea"
I've volunteered to join a team of colleagues (not quite 10,000 men) to attempt the National Three Peaks challenge. We're raising sponsorship for Heart Research UK. This is your chance to remind me and the rest of the team why it is a great idea.
The National Three Peaks challenge is to climb the highest mountains of Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) within 24 hours. Not an easy task at the best of times. We had to call it off last year due to 100mph winds on Ben Nevis. This year we face a summer of near-continuous rain. Fingers crossed for sunshine on the 21st and 22nd of July!
