My story
One evening in early Feb I was browsing the local paper when I came across an advert for a 12 mile Pub Walk around Pendle in aid of charity. As you can imagine, this sounded just up my street - walking the hills of Lancashire stopping off at a few local hostelries for a drink and all for a good cause! Not much persuasion needed for Dee and managed to rope in Fi and we had a team to register - MDF Amblers.
Little did we know that less than 6 weeks later, my Dad would be diagnosed with cancer and how important giving our support to this local charity may turn out to be.
This has spurred us all on to set our fundraising target higher - all sponsorships will be gratefully received and I know that Pendleside Hospice will put all donations to good use.

Pendleside Hospice provides for the special needs of people with cancer or other life-threatening illnesses. We provide in-patient, day therapy and hospice at home services, and support for families and carers. All our services are provided free - we rely on the support of the local community we serve, and on you!
