Walker Marc Hamilton asked his friend Julie McVeigh to nominate Meek's Three Peaks and Andrea's Gift as the store's chosen charity, and Julie was very persuasive and we were accepted! Our first event was the raffle where M&S donated three lovely hampers as prizes. Thank you Marc and Julie!

Janet Anderson and Debra Ackroyd held the most fantastic Coffee Morning on Easter Monday and rasied a staggering £2,450! They have very kindly donated the funds to Meek's Three Peaks and brain tumour research! Thank you guys so much.
Mark and Nikki Swarbrick held a brilliant Race Night at Glasshoughton Healthy Living Centre and raised an incredible £1,200!
The Tadcaster Young Farmers Muck Chuck raised a pot of money - £406 to be precise!
Georgina Marshall raised £50 at her school disco (Kippax Greenfield) when she organised a Chocolate Fountain and sold goodies to dip, and brother Callum also raised £60 at his school! Well done Georgia and Callum!

A fantastic Quiz Night on Thursday 28th January organised by Ian and Sally Meek at Sherburn White Rose Football Club. Compere John made the evening incredibly enjoyable and sincere thanks to Bob and Ellie for arranging the fantastic location and great pie and peas. Over 100 people had a great night and the evening raised £775.36 for the fund!
A shopping bag pack at Guiseley M&S Food raised £822.33! Thank you to all the helpers and to M&S for giving permission and the the lovely shoppers who were very genrous!
David and Anne Blatchford who held a Cake and Coffee Day, David says
"The open day went well, although it meant having too many women in the house! Ann says thanks to Julie, Mel and Pauline for hard work and support. Good job Pauline brought Marigolds!A brilliant £425 was raised and a good time had by all, and was well supported by friends here in Chipping Sodbury/Yate. With three amazing helpers, Julie Wyatt, Melanie Brown and, of course, Pauline.
The Event
Please support the Meek's Three Peaks Challenge - a team of 70+ people of very mixed ages and abilities aiming to crawl, walk and run (if necessary), the national 3 peaks in 24 hours on the 19/20 June 2010.
Carol Robertson, Sally Meek and Ian Meek discussed the walk over a glass of red wine one night. Two days later over 30 people all wanting to take on the challenge and raise plenty of money for a great charity.
