Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. On the 26th September, I am going to participate in a 50 mile sponsored cycle ride which starts on the seafront at Hove riding along the South Coast to Newhaven where the route follows the river Ouse, climbing gently over the Downs past Glyndebourne’s famous opera house before turning west to Hurstpierpoint and skirting the ‘Devil’s Dyke’ on its return to the finish at Hove.

My reason for doing this is to raise funds for St Barnabas Hospice, Worthing in memory of my dear friend Caroline Leigh.

Caroline died at the young age of 40, having had a year battling with cancer.  She was a very special friend, not just to myself but to many people.  She had a great sense of humour that came through right to the very end of her life, not many people could have coped with the illness in the way that she did, she was an inspiration to us all.

Caroline will be particularly remembered for her ability in golf, having been our Ladies, Club Champion 13 times since she joined West Hove  as a 15 year old junior girl.

St Barnabas looked after her with such care and I ask you to join me in thanking them for the work they do.  A small donation is all I ask so that they continue to help other people and their families in the way they looked after Caroline.
