Story
Megan was born in 2009 with a very complex heart condition, all her care has been given by the staff at Alder Hey Childrens Hospital.
For anyone who knows Megan they will know the jolly, happy little girl that lights up any room, this is only possible with the fantastic work that the hospital have done from the surgeons to the consultants to the nurses, receptionists and porters.
Megan has been attending Alder Hey weekly over the last 12 month attending 'play therapy' sessions in order to pre-pair her for the coming operation, in the past its been 'easy' as she has never been able to understand what's coming - but now with her being as inquisitive as ever, she wants to know what will happen to her. So with the Play Technician every week slowly Megan and Lorna have been working on the day to day running from taking a temp, to having an ECHO & ECG done to swabs and bloods. No job is to big or to small - what's better they work to her pace.
This activity would not be possible with out your donations - they don't just do this for Megan but for every child on the waiting list, if needed or wanted.
Megan has been chosen to be an Ambassador to the hospital and has taken part in lots of filming to help generate support and donations - the links below help to explain what your money will help pay for in the new hospital - £30 million is a lot to learn but every penny helps - please give as much as you can.
These links should tell you all you need to know about why this is being done:
