Dear Friend,
     Thank you so much for coming to my fundraising page. With a short time remaining before I venture to the shores of Lake Victoria in Mwanza, Tanzania I wanted to enlighten those closest to me by inviting you to be a part of this amazing journey that is about to unfold.
     A journey that will take me to a place where the language barrier will create many uncomfortable conversations with strangers, where the skies are filled with mosquitoes as large as birds, where the food is rich and diverse and the bathrooms are limited, and where I hope to be challenged in ways I never knew possible.
     After many months of researching various local and international volunteer programs,  I have come across Forever Angels Baby Home. The home was founded by Amy and Ben Hathaway in 2006. Amy, Ben and a whole network of people have supported and believed in this dream of helping those in need by hard work and dedication. It is here that I was inspired, motivated and became passionate about their philosophies.  
     From the beginning of August until the start of the new year, I will be volunteering at Forever Angels Baby Home in East Africa. If you find yourself with an extra minute or two, it would be great if you were able to explore the website www.foreverangels.org to see what awaits for me after many immunizations, malaria tablets, visa applications and a long, long plane ride over the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
     Thank you for showing your support by looking at this page. There are many ways to show your support. It could be as simple as opening a world map and finding the city of Mwanza to falling in love with a child and choosing to sponsor that child. You could show your support by finding an extra dollar or two and donating it to this unique and amazing charity or by just telling one person about Forever Angels Baby Home. Whatever you choose to do, I would like to thank you. Thank you for being a part of my life and supporting me.
     If you do decide to donate through this website, it is simple, fast and totally secure. Every dollar donated goes directly to Forever Angels Baby Home. When you donate to Justgiving, the page will ask you how many pounds.  The pounds will be converted to dollars on your credit card statement. These days about 10 pounds will show up as a $20 US dollar donation on your statement.
