Enable's mission is to create an equal society for every person with a learning disability. We are committed to amplifying the voices of people with learning disabilities and their families, to achieve positive change, through our grassroots and national campaigning.

Story

ENABLE is a fanstastic chaity that has really helped my brother Ross and many other people with learning disabilities across Scotland. Ross has helped them to raise thousands of £'s, including by abseiling off the top of a massive crane. I'm not as brave as him - in so many ways - but I decided it was time to do my bit to raise some money.

I used to be so unfit that I couldn't run for the train without practically collapsing in a heap. I have never run as far as 10k before and, whilst it won't seem like far to many people, to me it is a big challenge and I need to train hard. I also used to loathe running, so there is that dimension too. Eek!

Like all charities, ENABLE Scotland is not having the easiest time financially at the moment, so please put your hand in your pocket and support my run to help them keep their brilliant work going.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
