Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
This years race is number 3 for me and is especially important as it's in memory of my grandmother, Ann Harper, who sadly died 9th December 2007, shortly after celebrating her 80th birthday. My grandmother was always sporty during her youth and continued to be so throughout her life, enjoying many activities regularly right through to her death including swimming and dancing. I want to raise money this year for St Luke's hospice as they took such excellent care and treated her with a great deal of respect. Being a specialist in terminal cancer care must be very difficult and I believe requires a real vocation and a caring for people which is unique and not a gift that everyone has.
This picture is one of the last taken of my grandmother whilst on a family holiday just before we even knew she was ill. We'd finally found a beer tent to sit in and experience some of the local wines.
I hope to raise as much money for this charity as possible and hope you'll help me too.
