Sorry that this is going up after the event but thanks for visiting and (hopefully) donating. It just took a little longer than expected to get the Horniman up and running (ha ha) on justgiving.
I really wanted to donate to the Horniman Museum for a few reasons. Firstly, it's a fabulous free museum in a gorgeous Arts & Crafts building that's very close to my home. They do lots of good stuff with local kids and disabled people and it's a real jewel in the area.
Secondly, they have beautiful Gardens which I spend a lot of time in during the summer months. Since the half marathon I ran was in aid of the Royal Parks, I thought it would be appropriate to give some cash to a park that I know and love a lot more than Hyde Park.
I realise it's after the event but the picture proves that I crossed the line in 2:11:13 after running 13 miles on the hottest October day in recent memory (it was 23C in the shade!) I also have a very large (and painful blister) on my left foot and a missing toenail on the right so please give something so that I know my suffering wasn't entirely in vain!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Horniman Museum and Public Park Trust gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you!
