Story
Many of you know this ride started originally to raise money for a tree in memory of a young lad, Ali, killed aged just 20. It is now a yearly event on the first Sunday in August each year - the Sunday closest to Ali's birthday, but is to remember all fallen bikers. This year many riders will be remembering particularly Rachelle (TattooedTemptress on The London Bikers) who sadly passed away in August last year.
The photo visible is some of the bikes parked up at Clacton last year and the other is at the start of the ride.
This year's ride is in aid of SERV, also known as Blood Runners - they are a charitable organisation that delivers blood, emergency medical equipment, drugs and donor organs to the Accident & Emergency hospitals across Southern England at night free of charge whenever and wherever it's urgently needed. Most of the riders on the Memorial Ride are from the areas covered by SERV so as we may just need them one day, we thought it was fitting that we should raise some money for them.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. SERV gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for your support.
