The day came and went with plenty of incident, bandages en route and more than enough aches and pains for us all to cope with in a year not just 6 hours. But in the end we made it around in 5 hours 43 minutes to set a NEW WORLD RECORD of 24 people. Thus we smashed last years record of 17 by 7 people. It might also be added that we were a mixed team, not just the ingle sex team that did it last year.

Given that many of us had not even met until the week of the run this was a fantastic effort.

We have one last fund raising event on JULY 10TH 2008 when Geoff Wooloff and his Madness tribute band will be playing at a venue just off Oxford Street, London , W1. For tickets ( 20 quid including a curry meal ) please contact PC Richard Kirk on 02073218898.

We have officers of all ranks from PCSO upto Inspector running and also several civilian members.

We are hoping to raise thirty thousand pounds , which will purchase a holiday home for children suffering with cancer to have a break at with their families. Clic Sargant require over one million pounds a year just to help children suffering with cancer in the London area alone.
