I DID IT!!!!!
I ran the London Marathon! Despite hitting “the wall” at 12 miles I kept running and completed the marathon! Thank you to everyone for you support and sponsorship. Without this I would never have made it

I am a Macmillan nurse working as part of a hospital based palliative care team at the North Devon District Hospital. Our service has been helped tremendously by the generosity of Macmillan Cancer Support, both in providing 3 years funding for nurses and doctors and also funding our family room. This room provides a spacious facility for patients with life limiting illness, who are being nursed in hospital, to be cared for with their family and friends around them in a homely and private area. Without the help of Macmillan Cancer Support, this project would not have been realised. Having had so much help for our service, I wanted to do something to say thank you to Macmillan. Also I wanted to put something back for all the patients I have been privileged to care for. To be allowed into someone’s life to be alongside them and try to help when they are very ill is a very humbling experience.
