Our personal message:

Thank you for coming to my fund-raising site... After the great success of last year's event at the David Beckham Academy, I am at it again putting my ageing body on the line by being part of the Ambassadors squad to play 24 football matches against 24 different teams in 24 hours to raise funds for two ongoing Ambassadors in Sport projects.

The money raised last year has changed many lives for good and has begun to restore hope that has been fractured in some youngsters experience.
Do take a look at http://matchforaday.wordpress.com/ for further information in how you can get involved yourself, being a part of the Ambassadors in Sport squad or by bringing along a team to play against us.
Bringing Hope Through Footbll
The money raised this year will be used to help poor and marginalized young people in South Africa and the UK.

In London, our 'Hope FC' project aims to provide a positive alternative for youth in inner London boroughs who are at risk of getting involved in drugs, crime, and gang warfare. Through this project we offer opportunities for youngsters to break out of potentially destructive lifestyles. This project has been so well received that it has been launched in Manchester as well.

In South Africa the money raised will support our work with young offenders through the 'Hope Academies'. These football academies provide football coaching, mentoring and life skills training for boys and young men in prison so that they can get their lives back on track and stop re-offending. It has been a privilege to visit these academies on recent trips to Africa and see the life changing impact that is being made in young peoples lives.

So go on do get behind me (and more importantly get behind the youngsters we are working with) by sponsoring me in this football marathon. It is really easy to sponsor me, just click on the link below and follow the instructions.

Thanks you so much and God bless you for your generosity.

David
