Story

For reasurance, payment here is safe and used by major charities, money goes direct to the charity, so I don't have to handle the cash and Just Giving claims the tax element from the Tax people and take a small % of that to cover the service cost, ultimately the charity gets more money (due to tax claim) from using this site, fully supported by Help For Heroes.

Help For Heroes:

I have entered the LONDON 2 PARIS cycle race. 550km in 3 grueling days, this is no slow cycle tour with sight seeing and quasant, this is the closest event to the tour de france, their are 5 groups with average speed targets and Olympic athletes, Ex Professional riders, including Gold medalist Rebecca Romeo, Ex England Rugby captian Will Carling and more and me!! oh and Hero the bear who will be my mascot!

UPDATE:

Day 1: up at 5.30am start at 7am cycle from London to Dover; group got lost (including Will Carling) regrouped missed Ferry by 10mins, arrived at hotel at 10pm! just got dinner and bed Phew!! Bonus learnt how to use gears (wow hills much easier) everyone in shock I got up the Dover hill on the Big cog (technical wording).

Day2: up at 5.30am in Calais, start at 7am cycle Calais to Amein 115Miles, 20 minute lunch (what!!) all finding it hard, hills are mountains! some have reached their pain barriers, but we all work together and pull through, arrive at hotel, have dinner, sleep get woken up at midnight with fire alarm!! (give us a break), standing outside with a Heroe the teddy, (I am the centre of amusement!!) its for charity!! takes me 1hr to get back into room (key didn't work) 4th floor stairs!! stiff legs!!.

Day3: Yes we are on our way to Paris, cycle 80 miles to lunch, 20 minutes stop, then off, teddy in my back pocket, syking out the riders behind me, 350 of us, escorted by 20 outriders, support vans, cars, we enter paris travel up the cobbled road (painful) to the Arc de triomphe, snake round and down to the eiffel tower and we home; Yeahhhh.

Day4: Travel home, security scare before we get the train, delayed, eventually get in at midnight, I think this is just my hour!!!,  THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR DONATIONS: The BEAR and I have travelled far, climbed, raced, missed ferries, woken up by fire alarms, near misses with other cyclists, suffered 30degree + heat everyday, but we made it and it was worth it. Every penny raised goes to the charity. event is paid for.

Many thanks and please tell as many friends as you can, most people like to contribute if given the chance.
