Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

The Lullaby Trust exists to keep babies safe and to keep grieving families supported. We fund life-saving research, empower families with expert baby safety advice and support grieving families through their darkest days. We won’t give up until no baby dies suddenly or unexpectedly.

Story

Hi everyone.

This is my second fundraising event for FSID (I did the Mersey Tunnel 10k in May 2009 and raised £577 which was then matched by Barclays- thank you to all) This is my first Marathon and I am looking at a time of 4 hours hopefully! I am running in memory of my brother David who died at 6months old in 1987 of sudden infant death. I wasn't even two at the time but know how much this affected my mum and dad and the rest of the family. In the mid 1990's we were caught up in the Alder Hey Scandal and I can only imagine the pain my mum and dad must have gone through all over again. If I can help other families in similar circumstances then any pain my legs are in at about the 22 mile mark will all be worth it. Please give what you can in support of me and for such a worthwhile cause and help give every child the chance of a lifetime.
