Story
Having recently walked 100km for Macmillan Cancer Relief and raised a significant sum, I got a bit of an ambulation bug (sounds painful doesn't it) and decided to do a similar event, in the middle of September, this time for a different charity.
The recent untimely passing of Martin Bacon (Principal of Swavesey Village College) made me realise that there are a number of people, no longer with us due to a brain tumour, who have directly and indirectly greatly enriched my life and those of my family, my friends, my colleagues and the wider community, in many and varied ways. This was the major reason behind the desire to help an amazing charity that does so much for people who are battling with this illnesses right now.
To make things more exciting and the decision to donate simpler for you, what I like you to do is donate just £5 (more if you like).
CLICK "READ MORE OF MY STORY" AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW TO ENSURE YOU ARE IN WITH A CHANCE OF WINNING £50.
In return you get the chance to win £50 (or an amount in your local currency if you are not in the UK) as from my own pocket I will pay this sum to the person who guesses (or is closest) to the time it will take me to walk the 100km.
Hint: The London to Brighton 100km Walk took 19 hours 35 minutes but that route has hills right at the end just as you don't need them - there'll be none of these nasty things next to the River Thames.
When you click donate make sure you put your guess of the time it will take in the comments and ensure I can see your email address so you can get your winnings.
