Mick Ludgate (me in white) along with Dale Colclough and Karl Edwards will be teaming up in early July to attempt the Three Peaks Challenge. We will be running up and down Mount Snowdon in Wales, then cycling to the Lake District in England on road bikes where we will run up and down Scafell, then back on the bikes to cycle up to Fort William in Scotland where we will complete the challenge by running up and down Ben Nevis. The total distance cycled will be 470 miles, with 11,000ft of climbing during the runs. We are aiming to complete the Challenge in less than 70 hours. The joint age of the three man team is 170 years; I am not at liberty to tell who is the oldest!!!! We've joined together to raise money for Hartlepool Hospice, the Alzheimers Society, a local care home, Dinsdale Lodge and Patterdale Mountain Rescue which is very close to our hearts as we spend half our lifes on the fells.
