Welcome to my page!!

I'm Mike Spruce, I'm married to Jane, my  beautiful wife, and have three gorgeous children; Rebecca, Ross and Alanis.

Sometimes we go through life and don't always realise how fortunate we actually are............ and I don't mean in terms of wealth, I mean more about the health of our family and friends, which is priceless!!! Last year tragedy struck my family and I lost my wonderful mother to cancer. During her final time with us she spent it at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, near Chester, who made her last few days perfect.

During this devastating period the Hospice not only took great care of my mum, but they also supported my family and were truly remarkable, helping us through this upsetting time in our lives. To think that the only way they can continue to provide this invaluable service is through charitable donations, from people like you and me.This is because they have no government funding at all, for their courageous work.

I therefore decided to help by attempting the London Marathon to help raise funds for this exceptional cause. I'm doing this for my mum and for all who have or will benifit from the wonderful work of the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
