Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Brian Roycroft was Director of Social Services in Newcastle upon Tyne for over 20 years. On his retirement in 1993, a fund was established at the Community Foundation, serving Tyne & Wear and Northumberland, which makes grants to young people leaving or soon after having left the looked after system, to "help them achieve their dreams". I have chaired the fund panel since Brian's death in 2002 and to mark the 10th anniversary of his death, we are holding a memorial lecture jointly with Northumbria University and seeking to raise money to boost the fund.
