Story

Hey everyone, well for the many of you who didn't know I'm running the New York City Marathon on November 2nd. I'm running in honor of my Father, who passed away back in mid August of Cancer. I started running as a release and outlet for my feelings and emotions which were a product of watching my Dad slowly be taken by Cancer. I was accepted to run officially in the marathon about a month and a half ago after I wrote to The Institute of Cancer Research & Everyman and told them of my personal story and experience with Cancer and my yearning desire to find a cure which at the time I hoped might save my Father. As you could imagine I was a bit side tracked with the events of the last month and a half which is why I've got to raise this money in a short period of time. All I'm asking is that you consider donating to this cause no matter how small the amount, in my Father's honor. My hope is that the money I raise will be part of the funds that discover a cure for Cancer so that no other person or family has to lose a loved one to this debilitating illness. I know through your help I can reach my fundraising goal and hopefully in turn a cure. Thanks, Mike P.S.
