My story

For many years I have enjoyed my employment as Consultant Nephrologist and Physician at St Helier Hospital.  On the 6th July 2009 I will reach the age where the National Health Centre will force me out to pasture!

I am NOT, however, retiring as Chairman of the South West Thames Kidney Fund, and will continue in that position for the foreseeable future.

I am told that several people have asked if there is to be a collection for a gift to send me into my old age and would like to say that if anyone is thinking of contributing to such a collection, it would suit me far better if that contribution is directed towards this page which will benefit the Kidney Fund and the future of Kidney Research at the South West Thames Institute for Renal Research.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: South West Thames Kidney Fund (www.kidneyfund.org.uk) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Many thanks for your 'retirement' gift that will support a cause so close to my heart!

Mike
