My 40th was on the 30th April 2009, since then I have successfully completed my target of 40 races in the 12 months, with 4 days to spare !!! It has been quite hard getting enough training in for the longer races (marathons and 30k and off road 21 mile races) with all the other races in between, but even so I managed to to do them all, with plenty of Personal Best times along the way, unfortunately the London Marathon was one too many and I didn't manage a PB to finish with!  But it has been a busy year of racing and training, with nearly 1300 miles covered and 3 pairs of running shoes worn out !
