At the Royal Marsden, we're not afraid of cancer. We learn about it, talk about and most of all, use cutting-edge techniques to treat it. We're doing everything we can to help improve our patients' survival rates - whether it's new drug therapies, or better equipment or facilities. But researching and treating cancer is a lifetime's work. And that's why we need your help. London to Paris Cycle 2nd - 6th July 2008

For those who know me you will know that I have recently become hooked on cycling, I am out every weekend cycling about 25 miles.  I am now stepping this up in preparation of my biggest challenge; the London to Paris Cycle.

I will be cycling in memory of my Sister-in-law Karen Elsey and in support of the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign.

Karen lost her brave 3 month battle with Acute Myloid Leukemia in September 2007 at the age of 28.  Karen had an amazing presence, she was great fun and had a determination to enjoy life.  She was an inspiration to all those who had the privilege to know her and her zest for life is what has inspired me to do this cycle.
