WHY?

My Daughter was born 07/12/04 with Severe Brain damage which left her with Severe Cerberal Palsy and Epilespy as well as numerous other problems

She was severly disabled and could not feed or move normally, she had problems breathing and she often required oxygen and feeding through tubes directly into her stomach.

When abbie was born we were told she was 'Life Limited' This is when a childs life is expected to be drastically shorted than a well child, We were supported by Acorns who provided respite care for us when they could as abbie required 24 hour care which was phsyically and emotionally draining to both me and my partner. Sadly Abbie passed away on the 27th May 2006 aged 17months in her sleep.

I have decided to do the Great Wall Trek to try and raise money for Acorns who have provided much needed help to not only ourselves but other Familys in similar circumstances who need as much funding as possible so any donation recieved however small will be fantastic.
